Vekon took part in the construction of the Emergency Hospital in Cyprus as the solution partner of the main contractor firm. In the project where light steel and structural steel are used together as a hybrid system, Vekon manages the process with great care from the beginning to the end, working in coordination with the project management discipline from the technical office to the production and on-site assembly team, to work with an assembly team of 150 people in the emergency hospital with a closed area of 13.500 m² continued day and night, delivered within the expected time, in 1 month. It carried out a successful project management process by including the technical office personnel in the process at the assembly site, where it deemed necessary.
In the project where special materials are used according to the climate of the region, Vefa produces light steel and structural steel of the project with Vekon, one of the brands within the group, Ekobord, A1 class fireproof fibercement exterior cladding of the project, light steel profiles with Profacto and composite panels with Neopan brand at the point of all components of the project. became a solution partner to its customers. In addition, the roof cover of the hospital was made with composite filling, which is designed and patented by Vefa, with a heat bridge and A1 class fireproof seam roof system.
The pre-opening of the Emergency Hospital, which is of great importance for the health sector in Cyprus, was held under the leadership of the TRNC Prime Minister Ersin Tatar with the participation of Vefa Chairman Orhan Güner and the main contractor company officials. The hospital, with 100 beds, 6 operating rooms and 24 intensive care units, was put into the service of the Cypriot people with the official opening of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
